Photographer’s Experience & Safety Priority

Lin is a professional newborn photographer with extensive experience in safe newborn handling and posing.

Baby safety, comfort and wellbeing always take priority. Any pose or setup may be adjusted or skipped if deemed unsuitable.

Session Basics

• Ideal age: 5–12 days old.

• After 12 days, babies may experience growth spurts, gas, or increased alertness.

• Babies over 12 days may NOT complete all setups.

• Babies over 3 weeks old are typically more awake and less flexible.

• Sessions start at 9:00am, when babies are generally most settled.

• Sessions may last up to 3 hours, depending on feeding, settling, and baby’s needs.

Arrival Time & Late Policy

• 15-minute courtesy waiting time.

• 20+ minutes late: session may be reduced to 3 setups.

• 30+ minutes late: session cancelled without refund.

Studio Capacity Policy

The studio has a strict capacity limit of 5 individuals, including the newborn. This includes all adults, children, and the baby.

Example - Maximum allowed: 2 parents + 2 siblings + 1 newborn = 5 people (studio capacity reached). Any additional family members, friends, or guests are not permitted.

Additional Family Members

• Only immediate family members (parents and siblings) included.

• No grandparents, extended family or friends permitted. (FIRM)

If Baby Does Not Settle

• If baby is unwell or unable to settle, rescheduling may be offered at the photographer’s discretion.

• For older babies, families may choose a future outdoor family session instead（Subject to photographer's availability）.

Reschedule Policy

• One complimentary reschedule is allowed with at least 3 days’ notice.

• Further reschedules incur a fee to cover studio preparation time and lost booking opportunities.

Prop & Setup Selection

• Up to 4 setups.

• (Very Important) One outfit is used; remaining setups are wrapped styles to minimise overstimulation. Frequent outfit changes can upset babies and are avoided for comfort and safety.

• Each setup is photographed from multiple angles, resulting in a diverse gallery rather than a single image.

• Props and colours must be selected 1–2 days prior.

Advance selection allows setups to be prepared beforehand, reducing handling time and helping capture the baby’s optimal sleep window.

• No prop selection during the session.

Clothing

• All baby outfits and wraps are included.

• Parents and siblings must prepare their own clothing.

• Neutral, soft tones without logos or strong patterns are recommended.

Style Consistency

Lin Photography maintains a consistent artistic style. Individual images may differ from sample images, but overall tone, colour palette, and style will remain consistent.

Hygiene

• All baby props, wraps, outfits, and fabrics are washed between sessions.

• Hard props are disinfected after each use.

• Parents must inform the photographer of any known skin sensitivities or allergies.

Medical Conditions

• Any medical conditions, birth concerns, reflux, hip issues, or special needs must be disclosed before the session.

• Parents are responsible for consulting their doctor regarding suitability for newborn photography.

Siblings – Safety & Responsibilities

• Parents may request sibling and family images to be photographed at the beginning of the session.

Only certain poses are available at this stage, as some props and poses can only be safely used mid-session once the baby is fully settled.

• If a sibling becomes unsettled, it is strongly recommended that one parent takes them for a short break:

Nearby reserve within walking distance in good weather

Shopping centre approximately 3 minutes’ drive away in poor weather.

• Parents are fully responsible for sibling supervision and safety at all times.

Home Studio, Toilet & Safety

• The studio operates within a residential home.

• The toilet is cleaned and sanitised before each session.

• Parents must supervise children at all times, especially around household items and bathroom chemicals.

• Parents are fully responsible for their children’s safety on the premises.

Image Delivery

• Images are delivered in digital format only.

• Printed products can be ordered separately.

Social Media & Video

• Images/videos never shared without consent.

• Behind-the-scenes clips may be recorded during the session.

Parking

• Parking is available directly outside the studio (diagram provided below).

• Please avoid using neighbouring parking spaces.

• Vehicle safety and belongings are the responsibility of the owner.
